Jewel Peterson

Jewel Mae Peterson, 78, of Blytheville, passed from this life Thursday, November 26, 2015 at her home.

Born to R. F. and Evelyne Greene Monroe, Jewel was a cook at Scotty's and was of the Baptist faith. She was also a cook at Blytheville Truck Stop for over 30 years, and made the best homemade biscuits.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Peterson; and her parents.

Jewel is survived by her children, Loretta King of Blytheville and Carl Ballard of Gosnell;

Her sister, Mary Crawford of Steele, Mo.;

Her brother, Robert Monroe of Washington;

Four grandchildren, Bruce Stabbs, Jr., Tiffany Peterson, Chastity King, and Jonathan Ballard; and

Five great-granchildren.
