Johnnie Ruth Arends
Mrs. Johnnie Ruth Arends, 69, of Blytheville, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, in Blytheville. Born March 3, 1943, in Chatfield, she was a homemaker, a retired factory worker, and a Methodist.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Tea Golden Benjamin Peterson and Dezree Mitchell Peterson; her sisters Lilly Doss and Jeneree Thurman; and her brothers Leon Jones, Paul Jones and Vernon Jones.
Mrs. Arends leaves her husband, John Arends of Blytheville;
Two daughters, Tina (and Richard) Statler of Blytheville and Robin (and Jerry) Rodgers of Armorel;
One son, Kenneth Wear of Blytheville;
One sister, Mary Nelson of Black Oak; and
Five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. A private graveside service, officiated by Richard Statler, will take place at Memory Gardens just after visitation, at 10 a.m.
