Leona Mae Lesley Gee

Mrs. Leona Mae Lesley Gee, 93, formerly of Blytheville, passed from this life Monday, July 16, 2012, at her residence in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Leona was born in Dyer County Tenn., to Lura Sutherland and Earl Lesley. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker who loved being around her children and all the grandchildren. She loved sewing, crocheting, gardening and plants and writing articles for the paper.

She will be remembered most for her dedication to others in need.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Gee.

Mrs. Gee is survived by three children, Janette Simpler of Niceville, Fla., Bobby Gee of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Darrell Gee Sr., of Piggott;

Fve grandchildren, Cathy Henriott, Ronald Simpler, Alicia Kimball, Brian Gee, and Darrell Gee II;

Six great-grandchildren, Travis Simpler, Fisher Simpler, Ashley Henriott, Charlie Henriott, Alexa Johnson, and Avery Gee;

Two great-great grandchildren, Trayson Simpler and Greyson Fraizer; and

Three sisters, Fern Boshers, Earline Price and Diane Wojak.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at noon Saturday in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Duhon officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 Saturday until time for service.An online register may be signed at cobbfuneralhome.com
