The power of women is alive in Mississippi County. Last spring, the Mississippi County Community Foundation (MCCF) began a campaign to raise $100 from 100 women in order to develop a new endowment that would address women's issues. Squad making plans for its auction

The annual Blytheville Emergency Squad Auction is just around the corner, and donations for the event are needed, according to Squad member Mike Godsey. On Saturday, Oct. 3, the Blytheville Emergency Squad will have its annual benefit auction at the Squad's Main Building, located at the corner of Second and Chickasawba. Squad members will be calling and sending out letters asking for items to be donated for the auction and for cash donations as well...

A relative newcomer for politics has decided to seek the Congressional seat held for 14 years by Rep. Marion Berry. Rick Crawford, 43, of Jonesboro, is running as a Republican for the seat. Armorel to hire new teacher

ARMOREL--The Armorel school board passed a motion to hire a third kindergarten teacher Monday night during the board's monthly meeting at the Armorel school administration office. Currently, Armorel has two kindergarten classes. One class has 22 children and the other class has 21, which is over the state's required 20-student limit.
