Monday, Nov. 1, was a milestone for Claude Earl and Glendeen Barnett of Monette. The couple celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary. They married Nov. 1, 1946, in Leachville and both agree they have enjoyed life to its fullest. They don't travel as far as they once did, but most days they can be found in Jonesboro having lunch. Terminated court clerk accused of stealing $4,000

A terminated court clerk is under investigation after $4,000 was unaccounted for last week. According to Blytheville Police Chief Ross Thompson, on Oct. 27, BPD was contacted by the Mississippi County Chickasawba District Court Clerk in Blytheville who reported a theft of funds. Pirates fall to Westside in season finale

The Gosnell Pirates finished their season Friday night with a 49-14 loss to host Westside. The Pirates went three-and-out to start the game, but forced a fumble on the Warriors’ first drive. Gosnell took over at its own 15 with 7:15 left in the first quarter.
