Information sought in church building fire

Original Bible Way Church, located on 2213 W Rose Street in Blytheville, was burned down less than a week after Thanksgiving. Pastor Curtis Smith, Sr. of Original Bible Way Church said, “I was returning from a Thanksgiving trip on Dec. 2nd at about 3:00 p.m. I stopped to check the building and everything was still there. At about 1:00 a.m. on the 3rd I got a call that my mission department where we store things to give away such as clothes, furniture and other different things, was on fire.”...

No celebratory gunfire allowed in city limits

Blytheville Police Assistant Chief Ricky Jefferson said that the Blytheville Police Department will be bringing in extra shifts on New Year's Eve and will be strictly enforcing the ban on celebratory gunfire within Blytheville city limits. Blytheville Ordinance 1622 sets the punishment for those convicted of "willfully and intentionally discharging any firearm within the corporate limits of the city of Blytheville at "no less than $500 and not exceeding $1,000 for each such offense."...
