Robert W. White, Jr, 56 of North Lewisburg, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018 in the Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus after a lengthy battle with cancer. Robert was born November 17, 1961 in Osceola. He was of the Pentecostal faith. He worked from 1984 to 1998 as a scheduled production supervisor with Trident Automotive before he moved to Ohio. ...

More debris falls in courtroom days before trial set to begin

For the second time within a month, debris has fallen from the Blytheville Mississippi County Courthouse courtroom’s wall and the ceiling. This time the side of the wall where jurors and spectators sit has fallen and left debris in the seats. “We’re in a situation where we are on a time frame right now because there is a huge case that will be tried. Monday, they will start selecting jurors,” Brassfield said. “This courtroom has a potential to being completely full for several days.”...

The following are reports from the Blytheville Police Department. — Police took a breaking or entering report in the 600 block of South Franklin. — Police took a theft report. The victim told police that her former caretaker had fraudulently used her credit card and stolen her checks. “(The victim) received a call from an ‘undercover’ person from her credit card company saying that there had been multiple strange charges on her card totaling $1,000,” the report said...
