Calstrip announces $15M capital investment in Arkansas, creating 45 new jobs

Calstrip Industries Inc. announced plans today to build a new processing facility on the campus of Nucor Steel Arkansas, near Blytheville in Mississippi County. Construction will begin during the second quarter of 2018. The initial construction will be 100,000-plus square feet, with two planned expansions that will bring the total facility size to more than 300,000 square feet. The initial phase alone will involve capital investment of more than $15 million and creation of 45 new jobs...

Blytheville Fishing Rodeo is Saturday

The City of Blytheville will be hosting its 5th Annual Youth Fishing Rodeo from 7 a.m. until noon at the Walker Park Pond on Saturday. The fishing derby is for area youth ages 16 and under.
