Area well represented in postseason award selections

For the Blytheville Chickasaws, Alex Draughn, Calup Hedger, Chris Pugh, Brandon Harvey, Buddy Williams, Corey Chunn and D'Arik Haley all received All-conference honorable mention honors. Federal, state and local agencies execute search warrants early Thursday morning

Six search warrants were executed early Thursday morning in the Blytheville area, according to Blytheville Police Chief Ross Thompson. Thompson told the CN that all of the warrants were in searches for drugs, guns, and other criminal evidence. Five of the warrants were executed in Blytheville and one in Gosnell. Thompson said that he believes two arrests were made, though more detailed information regarding arrests will be released later...

UPDATE: Murder suspects in custody

Two men suspected in Wednesday's murder of 27-year-old Yuri McKeever are now in custody, according to Capt. Scott Adams, the Blytheville Police Department Criminal Investigations Division commander.
