Thunder Bayou repurposing to require further studies

Since the public forum that was held on March 17 regarding the repurposing of Thunder Bayou Golf Links, state government officials have determined that the process may take longer due to needed studies. The Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism (ADPT) has informed the City of Blytheville that the proposed repurposing has been deemed a "significant change of use" as defined by federal guidelines, and that the National Park Service (NPS) has ordered that an environmental assessment must be conducted before the NPS will give permission for the project to go forward.. ...
