City settles suits with police officers

The Blytheville City Council unanimously agreed Tuesday night to settle lawsuits with police officers Earnest Frye and Jason Wolfenbarger, who were terminated April 14 for failing to comply with the city's residency policy. On the recommendation of Municipal League attorney Rob Beard, the Council agreed to pay Frye and Wolfenbarger $750 each, with the Municipal League paying each officer another $750 apiece...

Lamar's Room loses license

With a 4-2 vote Tuesday night, the Blytheville City Council revoked the business license of Lamar's Room. City officials claim they approved the business as a studio only, but it is operated as a club on the weekends.
