James Bernard Cypress

Mr. James Bernard Cypress, 59, of Osceola, formerly of Lepanto, died Sunday, March 23, 2014, at South Mississippi County Medical Center in Osceola.

Born to the late Alex Boyce and Charlene Buckner in Memphis, he was a member of the U.S. Army, a retired factory worker and a member of St. John Full Gospel Church in Osceola.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers.

He leaves behind his wife, Nevida Cypress of Osceola;

His step-mother, Ruth Boyce of Osceola;

One daughter, Taka Harris of Memphis;

Two sons, James R. Cypress of Jonesboro and Audrey Love of Austell, Ga.;

Four sisters, Wanda Cypress of Lepanto, Linda Coleman of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Edith Boyce of Osceola and Betty Boyce of Blytheville;

Six brothers, Jackie Cypress of Lepanto, Alexander Boyce of Columbus, Ohio, Jimmy Pulley of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Calvin Boyce of Osceola, Fred Boyce of Osceola and Dewayne Boyce of Jonesboro; and

Ten grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Osceola. Funeral services will follow visitation at the church with Dr. Moses Black officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Rest Cemetery in Lepanto. Wilson Funeral Home of Osceola is in charge of arrangements.
