To the editor:

As the organizer of the "Ghosts of Highway 61 Dixie tour 2013" (National antique bus show April 4-6), I want to thank the entire town of Blytheville for hosting our event.

The warm reception and hospitality we all received from everyone in your great little town was amazing. You all could not have been more friendly and accommodating.

We appreciate all the efforts of your local merchants, hotels, restaurants, media outlets, Main Street Blytheville group, etc. You made us all feel like part of your family and very welcome. Blytheville residents should be very proud of their hometown. You have provided some wonderful memories that I (and others) will cherish forever.

Having access to a landmark restored Greyhound depot is a bus fans' perfect dream! My hope was to draw attention to that gem of a historic building you all have, and I hope that locals see clearly that treasure. The reason we (bus fools) travelled thousands of miles to spend a weekend in your town originally was because of that vintage Greyhound terminal. But now I can say that after getting to know Blytheville residents, the reason we would return for another event would be to visit all our new friends.

Thanks so much for sharing your community with us. We look forward to the possibility of returning to Blytheville in the future.
