Mr. Glenn E. Poff, 65, of Jonesboro, passed from this life, Thursday, March 7, 2013, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

Born in Gosnell to Lloyd Daniel and Bertha Leona Forshee Poff, he was the retired owner of Poff Sales in Gosnell and was of the Baptist faith.

Glenn was an avid coon hunter and fisherman. He liked to play poker with his family and close friends on Saturday nights; he enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and mowing his yard; and he loved playing with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lloyd Poff, Jr., Ansel Poff, Cecil Poff and Frankie Poff.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ann Phillips Poff of the home;

A son, Wesley Glenn Poff of Gosnell;

Two step-children, David Daniels and wife, Cindy, of Armorel, and Lisa Jones and husband, Scott, of Wellington, Kan.;

Three grandchildren, Victoria, Silas and Ansel Poff, all of Gosnell;

Six step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren;

A brother, Rodney Poff and his wife, Marilyn, of Gosnell;

Four sisters, Bonita Garner and husband, Bobby, of Blytheville, Dotsene Vansickle of Piggott, Jomae Duran and husband, John, of New York and Betty Sanford and husband, Virg, of Michigan;

Two sisters-in-law, Roy Lynn Poff of Gosnell and Patricia Brignac and husband, Larry, of Cedar Grove, Tenn.;

Several nieces and nephews; and

Two wonderful friends whom he considered his adopted children, Nathan and Ginger Pate of Conway.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mitchell King Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. An online register may be signed at cobbfuneralhome.com
