Kimble Jeanette Smith

Kimble Jeanette Smith, age 86, went home to be with the Lord Monday, October 22, 2018 at Monette Manor Nursing Home in Monette.

Kimble was born in Greenville, Mississippi to Kelsey and Clara Allen Edwards. She worked at the First Baptist Church daycare in the nursery and two year old room for over 15 years. She was a member of New Providence Baptist Church in Buckeye. Kimble loved her family and spending time with them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luke Smith; three sisters, Pauline Reed, Elzine Gee and Mable Whitehead; and four brothers, Gene, Junior, Glenwood and Wayne Edwards.

Kimble leaves her son, Rev. Danny L. Smith and his wife Reeba; sister, Maxine Richardson of Texarkana, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Mandy Miller and her husband Shannon and Mindy Simpson and her husband Scott; and four great-grandchildren, Briley Miller, Lillian Miller, Seth Simpson and Camille Simpson.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, October 25th at 10:30 a.m. at Dogwood Cemetery with Rev. Danny Smith and Shannon Miller officiating.
