William Everett “Pete” Peterson

William Everett “Pete” Peterson, 91, of Blytheville, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018 in Collierville, Tennessee.

Pete was born in Blytheville to Aaron and Laura Webb Peterson. He was a retired bookkeeper for Ark-Mo Power and a member of First United Methodist Church. He served his country with honor in the United States Army during World War II. Pete loved big band music, reading and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; his parents; a brother, Don Peterson; and a grandson, Brian Jacques.

Pete leaves four children, William Everett Peterson, Jr. (Cindy) of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Rebecca Jacques of Collierville, Tennessee, Debbie Peterson of Collierville, Tennessee, and David Peterson of Little Rock, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Scott Jacques (Stephanie), Michael Jacques, Lee Peterson, and Matt Peterson (Beverly); and four great-grandchildren.

Burial was private. The family requests that memorials be made to Parish Nurse Ministry at Piperton United Methodist Church in Piperton, Tennessee or the local animal shelter and Humane Society. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
