Arkansas Mile Challenge underway at Aeroplex
East Coast Timing Associationís Arkansas One Mile Challenge is taking place this weekend at the runway at the Arkansas Aeroplex. The event is a paid entry for drivers. The event will cost $485 to become a member and race down the track. One hundred and fifty vehicles are expected to race down the track this weekend. For spectators, the event will cost $10 a day or $25 for the weekend. Kids ages 12 and under will get in for free. The event began Friday and continues from 8 a.m. -6 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. on Sunday. Racers fly down the track hoping to beat their fastest times in a mile.
