Juanita Ruby Grammer

Ms. Juanita Ruby Grammer, 74, of Steele, Missouri, passed away on February 3, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born in Blytheville on August 16, 1943 to Lawson and Ruby Alley Hall.

In her younger years she owned a furniture store. In more recent years she loved bingo, casinos and playing cards. She really enjoyed Family Feud (with Steve Harvey) and Narvel Felts concerts. She was a good mom...and she was “the neighborhood mom.” She welcomed all the neighborhood kids into her home. Her family said even though times were tough when they were young she made sure they were able to go to wrestling at the American Legion Hall! That could have been from her younger years running with her brothers, playing football, and becoming a fan of wrestling. She loved her family, but she also loved her dog of 13 years, Blackjack.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Richard Grammer; a grandson, Nicholas Brown; and two brothers, Jodie Hall and Leroy Hall.

She is survived by two sons, James Lewis of Kennett, Missouri and Bill (Lisa) Hall of Steele, Missouri; and one daughter, Teresa Collins of Manila; 10 grandchildren, Bryan (Victoria) Hatley of Blytheville, Jason (Briah) Fountain of Blytheville, Jessica (Jeremy) Carr of Steele, Missouri, Jennifer Phillips of Mountain Home, Katie (BJ) Hall of Steele, Missouri, Misty (Chris) Smallwood of Gosnell, Mariah Grammer of Mountain Home, Airey Richard Grammer III of Harrisburg, Joseph Baugus of Steele, Missouri, and Kaden Love of Gosnell; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends that will miss her dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7 at Carney Funeral Home in Blytheville with Bro. Billy Miles officiating. Visitation will be from noon until service begins. Burial will be in Carney Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at carneyfuneralhome.com.
