Mr. Travis S. Deen

Mr. Travis S. Deen, 87, of Blytheville, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at Heritage Square Nursing Center in Blytheville.

Born in Yarbro to Hershel and Clara (Parker) Deen, Travis was retired from Dr. Pepper Bottling Company in Blytheville as a manager. He was a member of 13th and Main Street Church of Christ and was a lifelong resident of Blytheville. Travis was a former member of the Optimist Club, liked to travel and to play golf.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Della Deen; his parents; step-son, Gus Schmidt, Sr.; step-daughter, Faith Schmidt Williams; brother, Douglas Deen; and son-in-law, Ronald Williams.

Travis leaves two sons, Wayne Deen and his wife Gail of Ballwin, Missouri and Gary Deen of Blytheville; two step-sons, Thomas Schmidt and his wife Kim of Jackson, Missouri and Patrick Schmidt and his wife Lesley of Reno, Nevada; sister-in-law, Joyce Deen of Marion, Arkansas; 18 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 23 at 2:30 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Colton Lively officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home.
