She attended Lindenwood College in St. Charles, Missouri graduating with a BA degree in 1945. Lynn married Joseph W. A second daughter, Jill Jackson, joined the family in 1956.

Lynn was active in the Christian Women’s Fellowship of her church, serving as president, secretary, and treasurer. She was in the first group of women serving as deacons of the First Christian Church. She also worked with PTA and Girl Scouts while her girls were in school. She was a life member of both Beta Sigma Phi and the Blytheville Junior Auxiliary. Lynn worked as a Red Cross volunteer for many, many years. She was a member of the PEO Sisterhood, Chapter CI, since 1989.

Her husband, Joe Bill, preceded her in death in February 2004.

The family would like to express their love and thanks to Cynthia Whitehorn, Doris Jackson, Elnora Davis, Erica Davis, and especially Juanita Jones, Lynn’s special friend of four years, for the care they provided her the past few months.

Visitation will be held in the First Christian Church sanctuary on Friday, November 24 from 1-2 p.m., with the service immediately following at 2 p.m. with Rev. Holly Jo Engle and Dr. Tommy J. Carney officiating. Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of First Christian Church of Blytheville or the charity of one’s choice. Interment will be in Elmwood cemetery.
