Walter Franklin Ashby, Jr.

Mr. Walter Franklin Ashby, Jr. was born December 19, 1954 in Blytheville to Joann Wilder Johnson and the late Walter Ashby, Sr. He was a crain operator for Nucor. Mr. Ashby passed away at his home in Blytheville on November 15, 2017 at the age of 62.

He was preceded in death by his father; one sister, Lynette Ashby; and one grandchild.

He is survived by his mother, Joann Wilder Johnson; his wife, Darlene Ashby of Blytheville; one son, Daniel Ashby of Blytheville; one step-son, Stephen Dale of Cooter, Mo.; one daughter, Billie Ann Ashby of Gosnell; one step-daughter, Delois Dale of Caruthersville, Mo.; four brothers, Rusty Ashby of Charleston, S.C., Adam Ashby of Blytheville, Grady Johnson of Caraway and Robert Dale Johnson of Cabot; one sister, Rachel Ashby Mason of Russellville; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville with a memorial service immediately following, Bro. Danny Pankey will be officiating. Services provided by Wilson Funeral Home of Blytheville.
