Mr. Joseph Harvell, Sr.

Mr. Joseph Harvell, Sr. was born June 24, 1945 in Gurdon to the late Thad Harvell and the late Dora Stephens Harvell. He was of the Baptist faith and a steel worker. Mr. Harvell passed away on October 20, 2017 at his home in Blytheville at the age of 72.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Joe Harvell, Jimmy Harvell and David Harvell; and four sisters, Darlene Bennett, Ira Lee Harvell, Joyce Harvell and Mary Pittman.

He is survived by two sons, Joseph (Felicia) Harvell, Jr of Byhalia, Miss. and Artaurus Harvell of Memphis, Tenn.; four daughters, Shareda Rainer of Memphis, Tenn., Tenna (Rufus) Scott of Greenville, S.C., Jovitta Harvell of Memphis, Tenn. and Shirlene McMiller of Fort Worth, Texas; six brothers, Freddie Harvell of San Bernardino, Calif., Paul Harvell, Zachary Harvell and Vernez Harvell, all of Lansing, Mich., Castleberry Harvell of San Diego, Calif. and Thad Harvell of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from noon until 1 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Frontline Family Outreach Ministry in Blytheville, with the funeral immediately following. Pastor Rodney Richardson will be officiating. The burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville. Services provided by Wilson Funeral Home of Blytheville.
