Mr. Charles Edward “Catfish” Williams, 85, of Blytheville passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Born September 28, 1932, he is the son of the late Dave and Lula May Williams. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. He worked at Randall Company as a machine operator and at the Blytheville Country Club as a night watchman. He was a member of Clearlake Baptist Church. Charles enjoyed golf, fishing, and watching friends shoot pool. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 24 and the American Legion Post 33, both in Blytheville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Margie M. Williams; brothers-in-law, Billy Dewell Allen and wife Bonita, Harrison Allen, Jr. and wife Daisy, Talmadge Carnell, and Bill Sharp.

Charles leaves two daughters, Ann Galbraith and husband Greg and Glenda Hollingsead and husband Terry, all of Blytheville; two grandchildren, Paige Cantu and husband Josh of Jonesboro and Greg Galbraith, Jr. and wife Chelsea of Blytheville; and two great-grandchildren, Jenna Galbraith of Blytheville and Cheyanne Cantu of Jonesboro.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 19 at 2 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
