Flora Turnage

Mrs. Flora Mae Turnage, 95, of West Memphis and formerly of Blytheville, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Flora was born to John and Mary Hansard in Marmaduke. She was retired from Randall Company and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Flora loved to travel and loved being outside, especially working with her flowers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge Turnage; her parents; one sister, Juanita Crawford; two brothers, Cecil and T.J. Hansard; and three sons-in-law, Jimmy Naylor, Charles Newsom and Leonard Sweetin.

Flora leaves three daughters, Mary Newsom of Memphis, Tennessee, Gracie Sweetin of West Frankford, Illinois and Fredda Naylor of West Memphis, Arkansas; one sister, Aline Phillips (J.W.) of Oelwein, Iowa; six grandchildren, Allen Newsom (Evelyn), Kenneth McGill, Shelia Porritt (Jeff), Chris Stenquist, Diane Petty (Kevin) and Bart Naylor (Amy); and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5 in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
