Mr. Sylvester Davis, of Luxora passed away on July 22, 2017 in Memphis, Tenn. at the age of 76. He was a retired factory worker for Delta Products and of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Dorothy Davis of Luxora; one son, Demetrius Jefferson of Jonesboro; four daughters, Sherry Lincoln of Orlando, Fla., Angela Smith of Memphis, Tenn., LaWanda Davis of Bridgeview, Ill. and Raven Madden of Syracuse, N.Y.; five brothers, Leo, Leon and Richard Davis all of Memphis, Tenn., Lewis Simmon of Charleston, Miss. and Earnest Simmon of Cleveland, Ohio; ten sisters, France Fisher of Minneapolis, Minn., Annie Mae Davis of Marion, and Virginia Davis, Adawall Plez, Gloria Lauderdale and Alcoria Tate, all of Memphis, Tenn., Floriasteen Johnson of Southaven, Miss., Callie Fane of Memphis, Tenn., Dorothy Tellis of Charleston, Miss. and Nicole Andrews of Marked Tree; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Annie Willis Davis; three brothers, Alton Davis, Jr., Willie Davis and Jerry Davis; and one sister Dora Davis.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, July 28 at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. The Funeral will be held on at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola with Pastor Michael Davis officiating. The Burial will be held at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.
