Betty Jo Cash Sims

Mrs. Betty Jo Cash Sims, 74, of Blytheville, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Betty was born in Armorel to Julius and Nora (Green) Cash. She was a homemaker and attended Bethany Baptist Church. Betty was a lifelong area resident that enjoyed shopping. She was a caregiver and was a loving and caring person. She always took care of everyone. Betty loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Gene Sims; a son, Michael Sims; and two sisters, Mattie Myers and Patricia Inman.

Betty leaves her daughter, Melanie “Sissy” Fletcher (Randy) of Blytheville; three brothers, George Cash of Fort Smith, Charles Ray Cash of Paragould and Ricky Cash (Debbie) of Blytheville; one sister, Bonnie Riggs (Stan) of Tallahassee, Florida; two grandchildren; Denise Ann Wilson (Morgan) of Blytheville and Brittany Sims of Mississippi; four grandchildren, Mackenzie Wilson, Hayden Wilson, Autumn Wilson, and Makayla Sims; and a sister-in-law, Linda Carr (Jim) and brother-in-law, Ronnie Myers (Susan) that were always there for Betty and Sissy; and a special friend, Jesusa “Jessica” Monsivais.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 14 at Dogwood Cemetery with Rev. Gary Hyde officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
