Mrs. Maxine Stancil

Mrs. Maxine Stancil, 85, passed away June 11, 2017 in Fort Smith. She was born October 30, 1931 in Blytheville to Emmett Hill and Flossie (Canada) Hill. Maxine was a former employee at Arkansas Best Corporation where she served as payroll supervisor. She was a member of Grace Community Church and she was involved in numerous civic, church, and community activities.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Stancil, Jr.

She is survived by two daughters, Staci Moore and her husband Wes, of Fort Smith and Sandy Hodges and her husband Rausch, of Forrest City; One son, Bill Stancil, III and his wife Cami, of Greenwood; one sister, Melba Justus of Blytheville; six grandchildren, Thad Stancil and Dalton Stancil, both of Greenwood, Collin Moore and Kirby Moore, both of Fort Smith and Mary Hoshall and Billy Rauscher, both of Forrest City.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

There will be no visitation.
