After high school, she attended college for a year, but after some trade experience in printing, ended up working, operating, and owning Person Printing, a family business in Crossett, Arkansas. She was great at her job, was very creative, and an excellent designer. She also worked as an agent for Greyhound Bus Lines for over twenty years. She worked in Crossett and Forrest City before coming to the Blytheville Bus Station. She used her creativity while working at Hinson Sign Company for three years and also as secretary for North Tenth Baptist Church for four years. She loved her work, because she enjoyed being around people.

She enjoyed having coffee and visiting with her friends. She collected cows (black & white spotted) and clowns. In her youth she loved being silly and dressing up as a clown and riding a unicycle, which she often did in parades. She loved silly, stupid, clean jokes. She loved working with flowers and was great at growing things. Her friends say that she was a great encourager and a good spiritual advisor, and that she loved God. Her favorite color was blue. She liked singing, bowling, theater, circus peanuts, M & M‘s and corn chips. She always had a smile, even when things were not easy for her. She was a breast cancer survivor.

She had a kind and generous heart. She was a member of Gosnell Baptist Church, where she met her husband of almost 18 years, Chuck.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter, Amanda Herring.

She is survived by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Tacorda of Blytheville;
