Mr. Monterio A. Barnes, 19, of Jonesboro and formally of Blytheville passed away on Sunday May 14, 2017 in Jonesboro. Born March 15, 1998 in Blytheville to Alfred and Tylisha Patton Barnes, Monterio was a fun-loving young man and will be truly missed by his family and friends. He was a 2016 graduate of Jonesboro High School.

He leaves to forever cherish his memory, parents Alfred and Tylisha Barnes of the home; his sister, Tamajeia Rainer of Jonesboro; one brother, DeMarcus Smith of Blytheville; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Frankie Patton of Blytheville; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Betty Faye Cooper also of Blytheville, aunts, uncles and many cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Monterio will be held at noon on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at First Missionary Baptist Church, 600 East McHaney Street in Blytheville with Reverend Odale Jones officiating. The burial will follow at Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until funeral time on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the church.
