Pauline Whaley Hopkins

Mrs. Pauline Whaley Hopkins 93, of Blytheville, passed away May 2, 2017 at

St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born on March 25, 1924 in Potts Camp, Mississippi to the late Elijah and Roxie Whaley. At an early age she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Blytheville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Hopkins, Sr.; two sons, Alfred Hopkins Jr. and Dr. Robert Hopkins Sr.; her parents, Elijah and Roxie Whaley; four brothers, James, Sam, Bennon and Elijah Whaley; three sisters, Elizabeth Porter, Annie Starks and Emma Whaley; two grandsons, Derrick Clark and Robert Hopkins and one great grandson, Henry King, III.

She leaves to cherish her memories five daughters, Evangelist Vera (Willie) James, Evangelist Helen (Anthony) Langel and Mae Sanders, all of Blytheville, Minister Minnie (Emmanuel) Johnson and Minister Mary Fair of Detroit, Michigan; two sons, James Hopkins, Sr. and Rev. Gerald (Regina) Hopkins; four brothers, Joe Whaley, David Whaley, Robert Whaley and Thomas Porter; one sister, Sabrina; three God children, Rev. Laddie Whaley, Shirley Harris and Joyce Lewis; thirty-five grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends and family.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at First Missionary Baptist Church in Blytheville, with Dr. Moses Black officiating. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville. Services provided by Wilson Funeral Home of Blytheville.
