Florence "Flo" Brooks

Mrs. Florence “Flo” Brooks, 60, of Blytheville, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017 at her home.

Florence was born in Chicago, Illinois to Robert and Anna (Wagner) Ostler. She was a homemaker and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Florence enjoyed church and was very active whenever her health allowed. She also enjoyed playing cards. Florence loved her grandchildren. They were her pride and joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Mary Ann Brooks; a sister, Goldie Ostler; and brother, Robert Ostler, Jr.

Florence leaves her husband of 43 years, James Brooks of the home; a daughter, Cindy Mikaitis of Paragould; three brothers, Bill Ostler of Illinois, her twin, Charlie Ostler of Iowa and Frank Ostler of Kentucky; three sisters, Lydia Sue Hughes of Michigan, Carol Ostler of Iowa, and Josie Ostler of Illinois; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4 in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Powers officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
