Mr. Randy Jay Isbell

Mr. Randy Jay Isbell, 60, of Cartersville, Georgia, formerly of Luxora, passed away on March 6, 2017 in Cartersville, Georgia. He was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard, a retired factory worker, Cass High School Booster Club President, competed in Jack Daniels Invitational World Cook Off – 2015, was the creator of Steel Kookin BBQ Sauce and Catering and was the winner of numerous awards for BBQ sauce and pulled pork.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Dorothy Isbell Robinson and C.L. Robinson both of Jonesboro;

His wife, Ann Sparks Isbell of Cartersville, Ga.;

Daughter, Amy (Caleb) Davis of Lucedale, Miss.;

Two step-sons, Mickey and Johnny Ray both of Cartersville, Ga.;

Two sisters, Charlette (Michael) Drennan of Little Rock and Sandra (LaFonce) Latham of Burdette;

One step-sister, Valinda (Allen) Armstrong of Trumann;

Four brothers, Gary (Wilma) Isbell of Jonesboro, Gil (Penny) Isbell of Dallas, Ga., Jimbo (Vicki) Isbell of Burdette and Chris (Jennifer) Isbell of Nashville, Tenn.;

One step-brother, Tony (Jane) Robinson of Jonesboro;

Two grandchildren, Jaye Thomas Ladnier and Bishop Lane Ladnier both of Lucedale, Miss.;

Seven step-grandchildren; and

Three step great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jessie “Bot” Isbell.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza. The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza with Bro. C.L. Robinson officiating. Burial will be held at Potter Cemetery in Lepanto.
