Mrs. Mary Charline Boles Holifield, age 91 of Paragould and formerly of Blytheville, passed from this life on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Green Acres Nursing home in Paragould.

Born to Charley and Martha Caldwell Boles in Osceola, Arkansas, she was a homemaker and a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church. Charline possessed all the ingredients and attributes to be a true homemaker. She made sure that if you were hungry you would not leave without a full belly. Her kindness to others, especially children, was well known to all in the neighborhood. Her heart was a heart of generosity; she was compassionate, dedicated, loving, dependable and a protector of her family. She was loved and admired by all who knew her. That’s what made her truly special.

Charline was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe “Jodie” Albert Holifield; children, June Holifield, Joe Holifield Jr., Gary Holifield; grandson Jack “Jackie” Miles; siblings, Clay Boles, John Boles and Eileen Shaneyfelt.

Charline is survived by her children, Martha “JoAnn” Miles of Paragould and J.C. and Lisa Sellers Holifield of Gosnell; past daughter-in-law’s, Patricia “Pat” Henson Holifield widow of Gary Holifield and Delores “Dee” Manes Holifield; 16 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; many great, great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 10, 2017 in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Billy Holifield and Rev. Glen Dunham officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday evening at Cobb Funeral Home.

Because of her great love of children, In lieu of flowers the family requests a toy or stuffed animal be brought and placed at a special designated memory area or to the “Sweet Dreams” ministry at H.I.S. Ministries of Blytheville.
