Ulysses "Lish" Stewart, Sr.

Mr. Ulysses "Lish" Stewart, Sr., 82, of Blytheville formerly of Keiser passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Heritage Square Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born October 26, 1934 in Macon, Mississippi he was the son of Will and Lena Bell Stewart. Mr. Stewart confessed his hope in Christ and served as a Deacon at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Keiser, later uniting with Gospel Temple Church of God in Christ in Blytheville where he continued his service to Christ as a Deacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Lucille; two sons, Michael and Robert Stewart, Sr. and two brothers, John Stewart, Sr. and Eugene Stewart.

Mr. Stewart leaves to cherish his memories three daughters, Para Lee Bornds, Mary Jeanette (Elder Charles) Thomas, and Freedia Stewart all of Blytheville;

One son, Ulysses (Geri) Stewart, Jr. of Keiser;

Three sisters, Mrs. Sadie Coleman and Mrs. Bessie Walker both of Jonesboro and Mrs. Christine Garth of Blytheville;

Fifteen grandchildren, Thirty-eight great grand children, many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Ulysses "Lish" Stewart will be held at noon on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Gospel Temple Church of God in Christ, 1108 David Lane, Blytheville with Elder Charles Thomas officiating. Burial to follow in Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday, March 4, 2017.
