Blytheville Police Reports (Feb. 14-15)

The following are reports from the Blytheville Police Department.

Tuesday, Feb. 14

-- Police took a breaking and entering report to a vehicle in the 5100 block of Village Avenue. A handgun was reported missing.

-- Officers investigated an obstructing governmental operations report. After issuing warnings to the offender, the officer learned he gave him a false name.

-- Police took a fraudulent use of a credit card report ($232).

-- Police took a harassment report in the 300 block of North Hollywood.

-- Officers investigated a burglary in the 1700 block of West Ash. A lawn mower and leaf blower were reported missing.

-- Police took a terroristic threatening report in the 1000 block of Willow.

-- Officers investigated a domestic assault report in the 1100 block of West Moultrie. A KIPP student told her teacher that she didn't want to go home because she was scared. According to the report, her father grabbed her by the throat and threw her across the room, causing her to hit her head on the door. "The victim stated that everyone in the residence thought she took her dad's phone and then they started searching her pockets," the report said. "The victim advised that she then ran into the shower and broke the curtain rod. The victim stated that (her father) again grabbed her by the neck and yelled 'why the ***, you break my ****," the report said. The man also threw her against the wall, the report said. "The victim then stated that she wouldn't get up and then (the father) grabbed her by her hair and pulled her into a room and broke a cell phone. The victim advised that (the father) then spanked her three times with a belt." Authorities contacted the Child Abuse Hotline.

-- Police took a theft report at TCC Verizon Wireless on East Main. A cell phone on display was stolen.

-- Police took a theft report in the 1600 block of Harmon. The victim said a black male attempted to steal a refrigerator from the empty house. The refrigerator was placed back inside the home. The offender ran when the victim screamed at him.

Wednesday, Feb. 15

-- Police took a criminal mischief report in the 1600 block of Harmon. The driver front window was broken.

-- Officers arrested Robert Smith, 47, on charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of an instrument of a crime and failure to appear in the 1200 block of Myrtle.

-- Police investigated a forgery report at Hays Grocer on West Moultrie. The report said a former employee forged signatures and cashed personal checks totaling $641.

-- Police arrested a female Blytheville High School student for disorderly conduct at the school.

-- Officers arrested Deion Lockhart, 44, on charges of public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) at McHaney and Lilly.

-- Police took a breaking and entering report to a building in the 1500 block of West Ash.
