Police investigating burglary at KIPP

Blytheville police are investigating a commercial burglary at KIPP Blytheville Collegiate High School on Byrum Road that was reported Wednesday.

A school employee told police that when she arrived at work on Wednesday morning, she noticed an unknown offender had been through the drawers at the front lobby desk. She noted the offender took $202 cash and an unknown amount of cell phones that the school had collected from students.

The offender apparently gained entry by breaking the window of Room 007.

The school's alarm did not go off during the incident, according to the report.
