Infant injured after being thrown onto the bed

Authorities are investigating a child endangerment report that occurred in the 100 block of South 16th, where an infant was injured after bening thrown onto the bed.

According to the Blytheville Police Department report, the complainant said the offender wrote on Facebook: "This baby gets on my (expletive) nerves, I'm about to throw him across the (expletive) room, crying for no (expletive) reason."

The woman was watching the infant after the offender left the residence around 3 a.m. Sunday.

"The (complainant) stated she noticed the infant had cried more than usual and appeared to be having trouble breathing," the report said. "(The complainant's) son told her he witnessed (the offender) become frustrated with the infant on (Friday) and throw the infant around three feet onto the bed."

The complainant then called police and an ambulance, which took the child to Great River Medical Center to be checked out.

Police contacted the Child Abuse Hotline.

The child's condition is unknown at this time.
