Mr. Bryant Fry Stewart, Jr., 93 of Campbell, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, Missouri.

Mr. Stewart, son of Bryant Fry Stewart, Sr. and Anita Mai Matthews Stewart, was born on Tuesday, June 19, 1923 in Blytheville, Arkansas.

He retired from Ark/Mo Power Company as a dispatcher. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Campbell; the Four Mile Masonic Lodge #212 A.F. & A.M. for over 50 years; American Legion; Shriners and Scottish Rites.

On December 26, 1948, in Manila, Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Peggy Downing. She preceded him in death on February 22, 2006.

His survivors include one daughter, Jean Cherry and husband, Jerry of Corning, Arkansas; one son, Bryant Stewart, III of Campbell; three grandchildren, Lynn Bauschlicher of Corning, Janna York of Arab, Alabama and Sheila Adams of Senath, Mo.; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one nephew, Tommy Stewart of Lithonia, Georgia; four nieces, Anita Ray of Lee Summit, Missouri, Jama Gilpin of Aldrich, Missouri, Lisa Curran of Kansas City, Missouri and Margie Stewart of Durham, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Polly Ann Ray; one brother, William T. Stewart and an infant sister.

Visitation will be from noon until 1 p.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, Mo. with funeral services beginning at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Stella Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville.
