Mary Virginia "Gin" Gee (nee Vickery)

Mrs. Mary Virginia "Gin" Gee (nee Vickery), age 86, late of Mokena, Ill., formerly of Streamwood Ill. and Blytheville, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, December 29, 2016.

While many knew Mary as a homemaker, she worked for multiple years in both Arkansas and Illinois in various roles before staying home with her children and later, grandchildren. She was an active member and officer of the TOPS organization in Streamwood. She enjoyed spending time with family, reading, crocheting, collecting, and gospel music. She was an avid and lifelong Cubs and Elvis fan as well. She was friendly to everyone she met and loved by her family. She will be missed.

Mary is survived by her husband of 67 years, William Robert Gee;

Two daughters, Vicki (Robert) Nanni and Cindy Linam;

One son, Charles Gee;

One sister, Pauline Gurley;

Two brothers, Bobby (Margaret) Vickery and Don (Sandy) Vickery;

Three grandchildren, Shannon (Tim Wisniewski) Horton, Amanda (Michael) Craig and Andrea (Ryan) Perry;

Three great-grandchildren, Alexandra Horton, Zachary Craig and Baby Perry (on the way); and

A host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robbie and Andrew J Vickery and brother Bill Vickery.

Mary wished to be celebrated privately with only her immediate family.
