Board discusses 1/2-cent tax proposal; Mayor Sanders submits his 2017 budget

Thursday night, the Blytheville City Council's Finance and Purchasing Committee received Mayor James Sanders 2017 proposed budget and discussed a potential ½ cent public safety sales tax that would fund raises for uniformed police officers and firemen, as well as turning the Armory into a new justice center.
