Dr. Robert Lee Hopkins, Sr.

Dr. Robert Lee Hopkins, Sr., 63, of Blytheville, passed away from this life on October 6, 2016 at the Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. He was born on May 18, 1953 in Dell to the late Alfred Hopkins and Pauline Whaley Hopkins of Blytheville. He was a self-employed painter and pastor of St. Mark Full Gospel in Blytheville. He also served for the U.S. Army and is a Vietnam Veteran.

In addition to the death of his father, he is also preceded in death by one son, Derrick Clark, one brother, Alfred Hopkins, Jr.

Dr. Hopkins leaves behind his wife, Mary Henderson Hopkins of Blytheville;

Three daughters, Tekeysha Mosley of Blytheville, Lacandra and Joe Lewis, Jr. of Blytheville, and Tamara Cothran of Dallas, Texas.;

Five sons, Pastor Larry and LaTonya Mosley of Osceola, Robert and Lisa Hopkins Jr. of Blytheville, Pastor Scotty and Cyntwynet Hopkins, Antione Hopkins and Andre Chapman of Blytheville;

Five sisters, Vera and Willie James of Blytheville, Minnie and Emmanuel Johnson of Detroit, Mich., Annie Sanders of Blytheville, Mary Fair of Detroit, Mich., and Helen and George Langel of Blytheville;

Two brothers, Gerald and Regina Hopkins of Blytheville and James Hopkins of Blytheville; and 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 10 a.m. at First M.B. Church with Reverend Laddie Whaley officiating the services.Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. Family will receive visitors on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home.
