Monroe Johnson

Mr. Monroe Johnson, 55, of Sioux City, Iowa passed away on September 30, 2016. He was born on February 19, 1961, in Osceola to the late Felix Paul Johnson and the late Katie Somers. He was a welder of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Earl Johnson and Leroy Johnson.

Mr. Johnson leaves three daughters, Unique Johnson of Sioux City, Iowa, Gloria Strauhgn-Potts of Lucerne Valley, Cal., and Sandra Cotton- Johnson of Osceola;

One son, Tyson Johnson of Sioux City, Iowa;

Three sisters, Mary Johnson of Osceola, Carolyn Walters of Osceola and Linda Bell of Memphis;

Five brothers, Andrew, Willie, Felix, and Joe Johnson all of Osceola and Melroy and John Johnson both of Sioux City, Iowa; and

Five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Bethlehem M.B. Church in Osceola, with Dr. Moses Black officiating. Burial will follow at the Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola. Visitation will be held at 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Wilson funeral home located in Osceola.
