Pearl Lewis, 87, of Jonesboro and formerly of Blytheville, passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Pearl was born to Archie and Onie (Sumner) Lovelace in Blytheville. She was the secretary at Terry Abstract for 44 years before retiring. When she lived in Blytheville, she attended North 10th Street Baptist Church. Pearl loved to crochet and knit. She knitted a doily that she sent to the Clinton's and it was taken to the White House with them. Pearl was a wonderful mother and loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Lewis; her parents; granddaughter, Melissa Lewis McCurry; two sisters, Helen Perkins and Louise Moore; and brother, Roy Lovelace.

Pearl leaves her sons, Jackie Lewis and his wife Diane of Blytheville and Stevie Lewis and his wife Debbie of Jonesboro; brother, Wayne Lovelace of Texas; sisters, May Keefe of Jonesboro, Mary Lou Knipple of Piggott, Betty Sue McGee of Blytheville, Yvonne Zakrzewski of Texas, and Shirley White of Mississippi; two granddaughters; and five great- grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 14th at 10:00 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Ruddick officiating. Burial will be private. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the charity of your choice or the h.i.s. ministries building fund in Blytheville.
