Blytheville hosts NEA Rural Business Conference

Blytheville hosted the 2016 Northeast Arkansas Rural Business and Enterprise Development Conference on Friday at the Holiday Inn. The theme of the conference was "Innovation and Inclusion: Creating Job Opportunities in Rural Marketplaces." There was a breakfast with leaders to start the event, which included around 20 local, state, federal and private sector partners providing information to those in attendance. Samuel Rikkers, administrator of USDA-Rural Business Cooperative Services in Washington, delivered the luncheon address. Speakers provided information on a variety of loan options, technical assistance to start and grow small businesses, how to sell products to government and how to build strategic partnerships.
