Watson "Pete" Sailors, 76, of Blytheville, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.Pete was born in Hale County, Alabama. He grew up in the Blytheville-Osceola area and went to Burdette School. As a young man, Pete worked on the family farm, taking care of the livestock and picking and chopping cotton. He went on to be his stepdad, Doc Webb's right hand man when the junk yard was opened. Pete was a self-taught mechanic and enjoyed re building motors, starters, and alternators, just to name a few. Many customers and friends knew him as Doc Webb, Jr., which always made him smile. He got a thrill building his own fast cars that would rival most new cars in the county. However, he traded his fast hot rods for the happiest and most proud moment in his life, the day he married his beautiful gal Betty. Pete attended Cotton Boll Tech, studying general automotive. He received the honor of representing Cotton Boll Tech at the state automotive contest in Little Rock. He was very proud when he brought back the first place trophy on part recognition and rebuilding carburetors. Pete worked for the Blytheville School District and was an outstanding employee that took pride in keeping the Chickasaws football field in tip top condition. After retiring from Blytheville School District, he got to enjoy his love of fishing, playing chess, reading his Bible, and gardening. Pete also enjoyed watching wrestling and the New York Giants.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sailors; his parents, Azilee and Doc Webb; and sister, Michelle ElMore.
