Ed Dorris, Sr., 74, of Bono and formerly of Blytheville, went to be with his Lord Sunday, May 22, 2016 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born to Homer and Effie (Robbins) Dorris, Ed was retired from Randall Textron. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Jonesboro and also of the Bono Action Committee. He was a wise man, and thought everything through before speaking. According to Ed's family, he held the award for the "Best Dad in the World."

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ed leaves his wife, Helen Oelsen Dorris of the home;

Children, Tammy Booth (Robert) of Searcy, Eddie Dorris, Jr. of Bono, and Cassie Ring (Ben) of Jonesboro;

Sister, Ole McClish of Manila;

Grandchildren, Sean Meece, Edward Dorris III, Courtney Dorris, Joey Green, and Lexi Ring; and

Great-grandchild, Asa Meece.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 25th at 2:00 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Andy Neal, Rev. Danny Murphy, and Rev. Gary Hyde officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home.
