Lola "Walters" Caviness, 90, of Blytheville, passed away April 17, 2016 at Gosnell Therapy and Living Center in Gosnell.

Lola was born to Albert and Jenny Lyles on March 5, 1926 in Elliott, Mississippi, where she lived until moving to Blytheville. She was employed at TRI-AD Utrad and Columbia Ribbon Company until their closing. Lola was then employed at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Blytheville as a respiratory therapist for 23 years before retiring.

Lola loved fishing, flowers, watching humming birds, and cooking. She had a knack for cooking and baking. She took great pride in everything she cooked. She especially loved cooking for her family on holidays, where there was always a crowd at her home. Her favorite saying was, "If you leave my house hungry, it's your own fault."

She loved watching Rev. Billy Graham and Rev. Adrian Rogers preach their sermons, along with Bro. Gary Hyde. Lola's devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggles, and ultimately gave her peace.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Walters, Sr.; second husband, Nathaniel "Buddy" Caviness; two sons, Dale Walters, Sr. and Kelly Walters; and seven brothers and three sisters.
