Mr. Michael "Mike" Dewayne Grimes, 67, of Blytheville died Sunday, April 10, 2016 in Memphis, Tennessee. Born September 24, 1948 in Osceola to the late Delmer Grimes and the late Billie Dew Grimes, he was a truck driver, a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, a 1966 graduate of Luxora High School, a member of the American Legion, a member of Connection Ministries in Blytheville, doorman and limo drive for MCW for 22 years and a lifetime resident of Mississippi County.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Corley Grimes, his grandmother Mayme Hunter, one sister and two brothers.

Mr. Grimes leaves two daughters, Shelly (Joe) Richardson of Gosnell and Tamatha (Terry Dudley) Brassfield of Blytheville;

Two granddaughters KaSandra (KyLian) McClellan of Goldsboro, N.C. and Jordan Richardson of Blytheville;

One grandson, Kaden Brassfield of Blytheville; and

A special aunt, Doris Dew.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola with Bro. Tim Fulks and Dr. Terry Brassfield officiating. Burial will follow at the Mississippi County Memorial Gardens in Osceola. The family will receive visitors from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola.
