Roger Callender

Roger Clifton Callender, 69, of Blytheville, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Memphis VA Medical Center.

Born to P.C. and Eva (Rodgers) Callender, Roger was a former employee at Bush Brothers and a member of Dell Baptist Church. He was a musician, loved to play music, and was the founder and leader of the Callender Band. Roger also served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. Woodworking and deer hunting were hobbies of Roger's. He loved his family, his church, and his dog.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Dennis Callender.

Roger leaves his wife, Becky Morgan Callender of Blytheville;

His children, Steve Callender and his wife Ashley of Blytheville and Alan Callender and Tracy of Manila;

Brothers, Edward Callender of Grand Cane, La., Neil Callender and his wife Nancy of Mansfield, La., and Larry Callender and his wife Dixie of Mansfield;

Sister Sandy Lee and her husband Billy of Mansfield; and

Two grandchildren, Douglas and Kayla Callender.

There will be a visitation Wednesday, March 2rd from 5-7 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Friday, March 4th at 11:00 a.m. at Barber Cemetery in Mansfield, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, Louisiana prior to the service.
