Arthur Curtis Parnell

Mr. Arthur Curtis Parnell, 79, of Blytheville died Monday, Dec. 28, 2015 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born Sept. 13, 1936 in Osceola to the late Johnnie Parnell and the late Venola McDonald Taylor, he was a retired factory worker and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Parnell and two sisters, Marietta (Margaret) Parnell and Juanita Parnell.

Mr. Parnell leaves six daughters, Mae Helen Dixon of California, Dorothy Parnell of Blytheville, Victoria Gray of Huntsville, Ala., Debbie Parnell of Blytheville, Sue Parnell of Smyrna, Ga. and Venola (Michael) Oliver of Little Rock;

Four sons, Jonathan Rollie of Los Angeles, Calif., John Parnell of Blytheville, Willie Parnell of Los Angeles, Calif. and Arthur Parnell, Jr. of Irving, Texas;

Four sisters, Lessie Wimbley of Blytheville, Aslene McGinister, Tracy Parnell and Theressa Parnell, all of Toledo, Ohio;

Six brothers, Leon Parnell, Curtis Parnell, Ernest Parnell, Joseph Parnell, Aundra Parnell and Johnnie Parnell, Jr., all of Toledo, Ohio;

A host of grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren and a host of great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home with Dr. Moses Black officiating. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home.
